Better luck next time!

We are learning to understand and use descriptive language in my writing.
I know I can do this when I use 2 appropriate adjectives to describe the nouns in my recount.
On Wednesday, our basketball team played against Point England at Recreation centre at Tamaki college.  St Patrick’s were wearing green. Point England were wearing red. First we had some warm ups. Our first warm up  that we had to run up and down the court because we didn't have a basketball.

When Shawn arrived, he gave out the basketballs for us to use. We had a quick practise game before our competition game started.

When it was time for us to go to the court, we went straight to Michael so he could chose the players that were going to be on the court  to start us off.

when all our five players were on court, the game started. Half way through each game, we would have subs and then the game would start again. At the end of the game  we were all tired, puffy and sweaty. The final score was 22 to us 34 to Point England.

Sadly, we lost the game, How ever I did manage to have some fun. Next time, I will try to pass the ball out more and take more shots.

Nice to meet you!

WALT: use punctuations correctly.
I know I can do this when I use speech marks correctly in my writing.

On Friday my family and I went to pick up my aunties and uncle from the airport. When we arrived, we saw my dad's sister. She was waiting for her sister to arrive with her daughter.

We sat on the cold seats. I felt excited because I was going to meet my uncle and aunties.  When they came out from the exit door, I walked to the other side with my sister to meet them.

I felt even more excited after I saw them. We said to them,  "At last you arrived safely." One of my aunties had to go with my uncle and the priest to prepare for the wedding. My other auntie came with us back home.

When we got to my comfortable home, I went to my bed and prayed, "Lord thank you for looking after my aunties and uncle. Thank you for keeping them safe. Amen."

I had a good dream that night that my family and I could fly anywhere in the world.

Sounds, sounds, everywhere!

WALT understand sound. We did a class brainstorm on what we knew about sounds.
