Wow! That was really fun!
On Friday my dad took my siblings and I to chipmunks near Pakuranga Plaza. When we got there I went straight to the Super Ball Blaster. When I was there, I had to go to the ground and use the buckets to put the small colourful balls inside. Then go back up to the Super Ball Blaster and place them into a small hole on top of the gun and press down on the button which will then shoot out the ball.
After playing the Super Ball Blaster for a while, I went to the park with my two sisters. We went on the big red slide which seemed dark and long. After that we were thirsty and luckily my dad brought us drinks. They were cold, tasty and really refreshing.
I made some friends at Chipmunks. We played tag. Tag was fun because we were all chasing, running and screaming really loud. Sometimes, I get confused who the tagger was because there a lot of children playing with us.
I was tired and sweaty when I was preparing for the tagger. The tagger found me and started chasing me. I was running fast like an animal running for it’s life.
After that, some of my friends left. Then we had some lunch, I had a basket loaded with yummy hot chips and some tasty nuggets. I ate slowly because I didn’t want to get a stitch when I play. When we got home, I took a nice, refreshing shower because I was hot tired and sweaty.
I really enjoyed having lots of fun at the Super Ball Blaster. I thanked my dad for taking us there. I hope next time, I’ll try to make more time for me to eat so I don’t get hungry when I play because I got hungry after playing at the park.

Well, that was fun!
We are learning to use time words in our writing.
I know I can do this when I add at least 4 appropriate adjectives in my writing.
On Wednesday 28th of July, our basketball team from St Patrick’s school went Tamaki Recreation centre straight after school for our basketball game. Our game was against Pt. England red.
The game was aggressive and time went by really quickly. I didn't think the game was fair. They put two tall boys on in the first half and the second half of the game.
I had fun running with the ball and passing it to my team mates and we skilled them with handling the ball. So we could score. However we did not score because they were fast fast and good dribblers.
The awesome player in our team was Dohn, Glen and Siu, because they used their skill and techniques really well by getting past the other team and stealing the ball.
The other team was the same, they also stole a lot of balls from us. As time went by, we scored some more goals. However we did not win.
Even though we lost, I thought we were winners because we used the skills that we learnt at training to score some goals.
I had fun playing on the court because it made me feel like a professional player.
Next time, I will try to call for the ball and train more at school and at home.

On Wednesday, our basketball team played against Point England at Recreation centre at Tamaki college. St Patrick’s were wearing green. Point England were wearing red. First we had some warm ups. Our first warm up that we had to run up and down the court because we didn't have a basketball.
When Shawn arrived, he gave out the basketballs for us to use. We had a quick practise game before our competition game started.
When it was time for us to go to the court, we went straight to Michael so he could chose the players that were going to be on the court to start us off.
when all our five players were on court, the game started. Half way through each game, we would have subs and then the game would start again. At the end of the game we were all tired, puffy and sweaty. The final score was 22 to us 34 to Point England.
Sadly, we lost the game, How ever I did manage to have some fun. Next time, I will try to pass the ball out more and take more shots.

Have you played Roblox before?
On Thursday I was not at school because I had a sore tooth. My dad and I went to Sylvia Park to have some yummy breakfast. I could only eat with the right side of my jaw because of my soar tooth.
I had pancakes with syrup and melted butter. Then we both ate crispy bacon, steak and eggs. Then after my yummy breakfast, we went to buy my dad and I a drink from the vending machine.
I got a can of Fanta and drank it I said, "It was so refreshing". Then we went home. When we got home, I asked if I could go on the Laptop to do some Homework. I practised E-ako, Read Theory and Xtramath. Then I played some games when I finished. I played some games on Roblox. My favourite one was Darkness 2. It’s about a group of survivors trying to defeat the evil beast. Whoever kills the beast will earn 100 points for the survivors’ team. By using the points they can buy a different gun that they can use to defeat the beast.
After a while, I got bored so I watched a cartoon. The cartoon was Tom and Jerry. Tom is a cat and he has 10 lives, but he kept on losing his lives because Jerry, the mouse who pulled deadly tricks on Tom.
Tom knew a magic spell that would help him catch Jerry (His little mouse rival). But the mouse was too fast to be caught by him and the ghosts. After that it was time to go and pick up my two sisters from school with my dad. I felt sad because I missed out on a couple of episodes. However I did have some laughs when I watched Tom and Jerry.
I'm glad I had the day off to rest and I hope I don’t have to stay home again with a sore tooth.

Half Bionic!
Surgeons in England have helped a patient from sight loss and have given him a “Bionic eye”. This patient had a vision problem that was related to Macular degeneration. This means over time, the patient lost his central vision until it was completely gone.
The patient was an 80 year old man called Ray Flynn who had only peripheral vision before his surgery. That meant that he was not able to see things in front of him. Thankfully to the glasses and the Bionic eye, it has given him a better vision.
The glasses hold a small camera that sends video images as electrical pulse to electrodes that are planted at the back of his bionic eye. The retina of the eye then passes this visual information on to his brain. They say that this was the only way for him to see.

We are learning to understand and use descriptive language.
success criteria:I know I can do this when I use appropriate adjectives to describe the movie that I have watched.
Inside out.
On Saturday my dad, two sisters and I were at home waiting for my mum to come back home at 5:00 o'clock. My dad went on his laptop and printed out tickets online for 2 adults and 3 children.
When my mum got back from work, we got dressed and drove to the Hoyts cinema at sylvia park. We ordered our drinks and some popcorn. We waited for the attendant to tell us when to go in.
Finally our movie was ready to start and we walked in to theatre 3. We sat down on our nice, warm comfortable chairs and then the movie started. The movie that we watched was about the emotion of a girl.
There were little people who controlled her feelings. They were all named after their emotion. There was joy, sadness, anger, fear and disgust.
In the theatre the speakers were loud as if a DJ was there. We ate and drank our own popcorn and drink during the movie.
I felt happy at the end of the movie because Riley got all her memories back. They were called memory cores.
I had fun at the movies. Next time I’ll try eat less food and pay more attention to the movie because I missed out on some parts of the movie.
