I went to my rugby game on Saturday. We played against Carlton Grammars at Varsity’s rugby field. When the referee blew his whistle at the start of the game, we kicked the ball towards the other team. They caught the ball and we ran forward so we could get back the ball.
We got the ball back by chasing and tackling the other team. My team mate ran forward with the ball and I called for the ball. Then he realised that he was about to be tackled so he passed it to me. I caught the ball and ran through the other team so I could get a try.
Luckily I scored a try because I side-stepped them. I heard my dad cheering for me when I scored a try. All My team-mates came up to me, jumped on me, hugged me and congratulated me when I scored the try, because that won us the game.
When the game was finished, my team-mates mum gave us some oranges to eat. After that, our coach announced the player of the day. It was my team-mate and I was the player of the day. I was very proud of myself.
We went home after the prize giving. I took a nice, warm shower. When I finished showering, I was tired so I went to sleep. I wrapped myself with a blanket.
I thought I was awesome in the game. It was the best game ever for me. Everyone in my team was very proud and very happy. I hope that we will be lucky enough to win the next game as well.
